From The Impoverished Child To The Aged And Destitute, Grace Community Services Works At Ground Level Providing Care And Assistance To The Marginalized.
Urban poverty, child and baby abandonment, homelessness, drug addiction, food waste are not
only about numbers. They are stark realities of daily life for thousands of Malaysians. These events
happen every day of the year - and because there is no sudden cause, no single site of tragedy,
they make little news. As a result, these urgent, critical issues that plague our society are
relegated to the back of people’s minds - and sadly, what should rightfully be heart-stirring,
action-inspiring occurrences become mundane horrors to society at large.
This Is Where Grace Community Services Come In.
At Grace Community Services (GCS), we are committed to addressing the ‘mundane horrors’ that take place daily in the streets, hidden in the secrecy of homes or festering in the crevices of our
neighborhoods. Every day, our people are deployed at ground level, rendering practical help to
the needy through all our various social and community works. From caring for the abused and
abandoned children, providing a safe-haven to women with unplanned pregnancies and rescuing
babies to those afflicted by drug and alcohol addiction and feeding the poor, we are right on the
ground, in the thick of action 24/7, every day of the year.
A non-profit organization founded expressly to serve the needs of the marginalized sectors of our
community, we serve a large cross-section of underprivileged people groups. In fact, our wide
spectrum of community services addresses the needs of every facet of life - from the womb right
to the twilight years of the aged. To this end, we work very closely with the Federal and State
Welfare Departments, and other related governmental departments to answer the needs of a
community in distress.
