FAQ

• What kind of clothing do you accept?

  We accept new or gently used men, women and children’s clothing, shoes and bras. Only new undergarments (underwear and panties) and socks are accepted.

  The new or gently used clothing provides those in vulnerable positions with the highest form of dignity when receiving the clothing.

• How do we get the clothing's to Grace Community Services?

  If any of your clothes have spots or stains on them, try to remove them yourself or take it to a professional. If the stain won’t budge, then sadly the item should not be donated and instead repurporsed.

  All clothing with holes is not accepted.

  Everything you donate should respect the potential future recipient.

• Must the clothing be washed?

  Yes, we would appreciate it very much!

  Clothes that are dirty or badly worn out are not accepted. You want your clothing donations to be fresh and clean for their new owner as this provides those in vulnerable positions with the highest form of dignity when receiving the clothes.

• Is there a minimun donation?

  There is no minimum donation requirement.

• Is there any fee to donate clothing?

  Grace Community Services (GCS) does not charge to take clothing donations. However, we do ask that if you are able to make a contribution to support us with the logistics and delivery of our service to those in need, that would be most welcome. Please click here to make a tax exempt donation.

• How else can we support the clothing bank?

  You may help us in multiple ways, from volunteering your time to sort clothing, sponsoring a mobile wardrobe, to campaigning on our behalf or viewing other services provided by GCS to see how you can help the less fortunate.
