Birthright is currently undergoing restructuring and relocation to better serve the community. Stay tuned for our exciting relaunch in the near future!
For the unfamiliar, Birthright is a home for unwed mothers with unplanned pregnancies, founded on the belief in every pregnant woman’s right to give birth and every child’s right to be born.
We provide temporary shelter, clothing, medical aid, legal advice, and counseling services to pregnant, unwed women in need of support.
Our home will be led by a licensed midwife with over 20 years of experience. She brings expertise in lactation consulting and infant massage, together with many years of experience working in a hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, labour room and maternity ward.
Our expanded range of services will include antenatal care, birthing and parenting classes, breastfeeding support, postnatal care, health coaching, first aid, and more.
To address psychological effects and promote well-being, we offer professional support from a psychologist, assisting with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, among others.
Our main objectives are to save unborn children, provide a safe place for mothers until delivery, offer emotional support, and encourage full-term pregnancies.
If adoption becomes the choice, we collaborate with the Welfare Department to find suitable adoptive parents.
Birthright is officially registered under Akta Pusat Jagaan 1993 as Pusat Jagaan Birthright.
To date, we have aided 75 unwed mothers from diverse backgrounds, with over half of the babies finding loving adoptive families.
